About Brookhaven Nursing Home

Brookhaven Nursing Home & Care Centre was completed and opened in 2006 and is a modern purpose built 55 bed healthcare facilities incorporating the most up to date design and outfitting features. Great care and attention was taken during the design of Brookhaven to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents. In addition the building has a great sense of ‘home’ with its tasty decor and many lounges and meeting areas for residents to enjoy.

Brookhaven is situated in a tranquil setting on the edge of Ballyragget close to all the amenities of the village and surrounding area. Every effort is made to encourage lots of interaction with the local community and all residents are encouraged and supported to maintain strong links to their ‘home communities’ as well.

Brookhaven has all the facilities and services one would expect to see in a modern care centre including therapy rooms, a hair salon and a beautiful multi-denominational oratory for quiet reflection and prayer. It also boasts a wide range of relaxation rooms including lounges, reading room and dedicated visitor’s rooms where residents can meet with or hold functions with their families.

A varied activation and social programme is offered to all residents and a special effort is made to cater to the wishes of all. There are bingo and live music sessions each week and other pursuits are available to residents in our activities rooms. We make a special effort to mark all significant events such as birthdays and our summer barbeque and Christmas party are annual highlights.
